Carrera’s West Coast Mexican Food brings you the FLAVOR. The owners grew up in San Diego, so they have lived and breathed that Southern California style of Mexican that many of you know and love 🧡

Are you a fan of hand-held burritos? My husband was over the moon to see a burrito in the same style he had growing up in Chicago. It’s not smothered, it’s just loaded and grilled to absolute as-big-as-your-head perfection. 🌯 Be prepared to split this burrito into two meals.

And these tacos! There’s an insane amount of choices, we had so many but it’s hard to pick a favorite…ok yes, the birria was fantastic, that might be the one 😍 Talk about consommé you will be drinking like a warm soup, you can’t let it go to waste.

I ordered my birria taco as a “queso taco” with tons of melty cheese. I also ordered a “mulita” taco with carnitas (which ends up being more like a quesadilla, DELICIOUS) and a regular asada taco.

What else? Had to have the giant side of elote, big enough for the whole fam to share one 🌽 And the owner was kind enough to bring us some churro bites…bruh. These were so warm and toasty 😍
