Many of you know that I usually wake my a$$ up at 4:30a to go workout. It’s well before my kids are up and it’s just done for the day. 💪

But on days when my husband is out of town (or I’m just too darn sleepy 😴), it’s good to have an option with childcare!

Tykes Toyland at the Castle Rock Rec Center is not only a great option in a pinch, it’s a loving environment for my kids while I’m squeezing in a workout.

It’s hard to get a ton of pics in when I’m trying to avoid taking pictures of other people’s kids 😅 but it’s a colorful room filled with toys, crafts, books, cozy corners, and areas to enjoy a snack.

Kids ages 1-8yo can enjoy this drop-in service daily! Your kids do not have to be potty trained, but if a diaper change is in order, you’ll need to pop back in to change them. 💩

They are open mornings M-Sa and evenings M-Th.

Can I also mention…the workout facilities here are plentiful! More weight machines than I have ever seen in a community center 🤯 And plenty of cardio machines! It was a pretty packed house today but there was space for everyone.

Kids can enjoy Tykes Toyland for up to 2 hours a day. The hourly rate for Castle Rock residents is $4/hr ($4.75/NR), plus the cost for your day pass to work out ($8 for me, $9/NR).
