Dare I say: is this the best ice cream I’ve had in Denver? 😍

My husband has been on a worldwide search of lemon custard ever since we had it in Savannah, GA more than 6 years ago. Yes apparently it is hard to find! 🍋

Naturally, ice cream made perfect sense on this sunny Easter Sunday. The line was long, but it was moving quick and once we saw lemon custard on the menu, there was no stopping us.

They have so many homemade flavors ready on-sites, with many regular flavors and seasonal favorites (Peeps and Carrot Cake, to name the Easter flavors).

I ordered two scoops: lemon custard and cookie dough. Lemon custard was great because it wasn’t tart like sherbet or sorbet: it was like sweet lemon cream! 🍋 And the cookie dough…well, I was losing it over this one 😆 I simply can’t remember the last time I had cookie dough ice cream this fresh and good! 🍪

Aside from the treats, the service here is great. Everyone was quick and friendly, serving us with a smile 😄

Bonnie Brae is only 30 minutes from Castle Rock! Yes you pass many options along the way, but if you find yourself heading to Cherry Creek or Denver, make sure you add Bonnie Brae as a stop 🍦
