GLENWOOD HOT SPRINGS 💦🧖
I’m kicking it back to Labor Day 2021 when we said, “Screw it, let’s get out of town!” We drove west for 3 hours to Glenwood Springs to enjoy a MASSIVE warm pool for day and night leisurely swimming and soaking 🏊🏻♀️
I’ve never seen a public “pool” quite like this, but wow 🤩 It is the WORLD’S largest hot spring! It was endless! There were multiple spots for the kids to enjoy:
💦swimming
💦jumping in
💦going down water slides and a tube slide
💦running around a splash pad
💦and trying out a HOT spring 🥵
It was a busy weekend and yet we never felt crowded. We only had to walk around for a bit to find a spot for our pool bag/towels, but always found a chaise/table.
It’s a bit pricier to get in than a normal “pool” but you can swim early in the morning until fairly late at night (like 9pm, how’s that for night swimming?). We watched the sun set over the mountains one night while swimming, which was a fun first for us 🌄
Tip: If you stay at the Glenwood Hot Springs Resort (like we did), you can come and go from the pool as often as you’d like. Which was great for nap time!
If you are toying around with getting out of town for a weekend or during fall break, Glenwood Hot Springs was a fun spot for my little swimmers to enjoy 😊 Plus the downtown area has plenty of restaurants to enjoy, with a scenic and walkable downtown near the canyons.
