Kendrick Lake

KENDRICK LAKE PARK☀️

We escaped from our bubble last weekend to go have a picnic and playground day outside of Castle Rock, and ended up spending nearly half a day at Kendrick Lake Park!

I hopped on Park Time Job for a playground recommendation and found a few fantastic ones in Lakewood, but landed on Kendrick Lake because of the 1 mile paved loop that goes around the lake.

We packed a picnic, packed the scooters and helmets 🛴 and made the 40 minute trip! It was a memorable day and a fun spot my kids won’t stop talking about.

🌳 A big playground and little playground to appease all age groups!

🌲 Port-a-potties are not ideal, but they have them!

🌿The 1-mile loop is paved and great for bikes and scooters, or just walking! Some parts of the sidewalk are a bit older and therefore a bit bumpy, but my kids didn’t seem to notice or mind. 🚲 🛴

🧺 There is a single covered gazebo with tables but it was occupied for a birthday party most of the day. So bring a blanket, and you can definitely find a shady spot here too.

🚗 The parking lot wasn’t huge, but it was a busy day and there were still several spots when we arrived.

🏔 Being a bit closer to the mountains made for some nice views, especially walking around the lake 😍
