PURE BARRE đȘ
Iâm ending my fitness tour at one of the most challenging workouts (for me, personally đ ).
Pure Barre is a nationwide favorite because of its low-impact toning method using isometric holds, resistance, small movements, and a crap load of mental stamina đ
Listen. I did not grow up very athletic đ You can ask me all about it sometime, but I have had to, in my adulthood, build up flexibility and endurance. So a class where you hold graceful poses for minutes at a time was HARD. I was shakingâŠand thatâs the point! One of their mottos is âembrace the shakeâ because it means itâs working đ„
The class uses bands, balls, light weights, and body weight. Youâre guided through small movements and poses using these itemsâŠand if your body isnât use to this stuff, itâs a CHALLENGE. But you get used to it! You build toned muscle over time and youâre able to gradually increase your movements and weight.
I mean all this âomg itâs hardâ stuff nicely. In fact, I used to go to Pure Barre in my younger daysâŠbefore kidsâŠwhen I had some semblance of core muscles đ So I can say with total assurance that it does get easier. All in all, this was the lowest-impact workout I tried out over the last month, but definitely one of the hardest!
There are varying class levels depending on your abilities, some involving more resistance and some intending to get your heart rate up more.
