ROYAL GORGE BRIDGE & PARK 🌲

If you’re getting out and about but don't want to strap on hiking boots, I have your day trip right here!

The bridge was the highest suspension bridge in the world until as recently as 2001, and it’s a trip! It’s still #1 in the U.S. and spans 1,260ft across the gorge, nearly 1000ft above the Arkansas River.

The park offers several opportunities for fun, including the namesake bridge, a gondola across the gorge 🚠, zip lines, a playground, a carousel, and concessions. You can spend a full morning or afternoon walking around enjoying the grounds and the views!

You could also brave the Via Ferrata and rock climb up the gorge (on my bucket list!)

The zip line and rock climbing are extra cash, but everything else on the grounds are yours to enjoy with your paid admission.

The Royal Gorge Park is open 10a-5p all week and is about 2 hours from Castle Rock.
